As children across the state head back to school today, Football Queensland (FQ)’s MiniRoos Recess sessions have drawn to a close following two months of activities designed to keep youngsters active from home.
The daily MiniRoos Recess segment saw FQ team members Kerry, Zac and Laura demonstrate fun challenges for MiniRoos to try following the suspension of football activity due to COVID-19.
Kicking off on March 30, 37 episodes of MiniRoos Recess were featured on the FQ Facebook page and website, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from the football community as Queenslanders across the state joined in the fun from their own backyard.
FQ’s MiniRoos Recess Challenges proved incredibly popular, reaching over 312,000 people, garnering more than 54,000 unique viewers, and even featuring in a 10 News First segment alongside FQ’s Backyard Drills & Chills.
Daily challenges included Foot Bowls, the Target Shot Challenge, Dash Football and Rob the Nest to name a few, with something for the whole family to enjoy!
A big thank you to all our MiniRoos across Queensland who got involved in our MiniRoos Recess Challenges over the last two months.
If your youngster still wants to give some of the challenges a go, you can find all 37 episodes of FQ’s MiniRoos Recess in the MiniRoos Recess Hub.
