International Football Coaching Conference Australia (IFCCA) is pleased to announce Futebol Clube do Porto SAD (FC Porto) U23 Assistant Coach Vitor Matos as a keynote speaker at the conference.
Matos joins a host of other football professionals already announced, including Caltex Socceroos Head Coach Graham Arnold and former England manager Hope Powell OBE, CBE in attendance at the event at RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2019.
Boasting 11 years of international coaching experience for clubs including FC Porto, Clube Futebol Valadares and Clube Desportivo Trofense in Portugal, and Shandong Luneng Taishan FC in China, Matos will bring valuable insight to the conference in the presentation of the Tactical Periodization methodology.
Having worked in various roles at these clubs including Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Performance Analyst, Youth Technical Director and Opposition Scout, Matos will present the methodology that focuses on the training process as a teaching-learning process based on a chaotic-systemic reality that differs from others’ classical approaches.
The experienced coach said he was looking forward to sharing his knowledge with conference delegates.
“I am deeply glad and pleased for the invitation to participate in such an exciting conference that will help Australia’s football coaches to keep their development in high standards,” Matos said.
“I am looking forward to being in a place that allows everyone involved to think about football in all its dimensions, by sharing different approaches for the game, for the training process and for youth development.
“This will be a moment of sharing knowledge, friendship and passion.”
Matos has been instrumental in the success of the teams he has worked with, leading his 2017 Chinese club side to the U15 Chinese National Championship and U15 SuperLeague Championship, and the 2015/16 FC Porto B team winning the Ledman Liga Pro, with Matos as Performance Analyst.
With the event focused on delivering cutting-edge insight, research and approaches used by the world’s leading clubs and associations, IFCCA is excited to welcome Matos as a keynote speaker to present the Tactical Periodization methodology.
