Key Matches:
Logan Lightning v Western Pride
Second-placed Logan Lightning are yet to taste defeat so far in the 2020 FQPL season but have shown some signs of vulnerability in recent times, drawing three of their last five matches.
That run has seen them replaced in the promotion spot by SWQ Thunder who have been the competition’s form team, with three wins in their last three games.
Logan did get the job done against Sunshine Coast FC last week with a commanding 4-1 victory in which captain Jed Brown netted a brace but they will need to be up for a fight against this week’s opponents Western Pride.
Pride continue to be one of the most difficult sides to predict in FQPL with the Ipswich side currently holding a record of four wins and five losses in their nine league games.
Last time out they narrowly lost to local rivals Ipswich Knights 2-1, showing their ability to match it with the league’s best teams when they are on form and if they are firing this weekend, Logan are sure to be in for a tough test.

Mitchelton FC v Sunshine Coast FC
Having suffered their first defeat of the year last week against SWQ Thunder, Mitchelton FC find themselves in a tricky position.
The Mustangs have at times looked like one of the best sides in the league but having only won one of their last five matches are on the outside looking in for promotion, trailing league leaders SWQ Thunder by nine points.
That means the club must go on a winning run to stay in contention, starting this weekend at home against Sunshine Coast FC.
Sunshine Coast have been marred by inconsistency throughout the season and have only picked up a single point away from home so far this year.
They are a team full of quality players however and will turn to the likes of Christopher Nwokeke, Kirito Higuchi, and Daniel Bailey to lead them to an unlikely result against a formidable Mitchelton side.

Holland Park Hawks v Wolves FC
Holland Park Hawks and Wolves FC have often been two of the most entertaining sides for neutrals to watch this season, meaning this weekend’s South Brisbane Derby shapes up to be a must-watch.
Having enjoyed a bye last weekend, Holland Park come into this match fresh-off their eye catching 4-0 win against another South Brisbane rival, Southside Eagles.
The Hawks were firing on all cylinders in that match, playing with impressive speed and finishing their chances ruthlessly.
If Holland Park can regularly play in that fashion they will quickly climb the ladder.
Their opponents Wolves also enjoyed a four-goal victory last time out beating out Souths United 5-1 with Jack Webb running the game from the centre of midfield.
With both sides capable of scoring at will, this may be a derby to remember for years to come.

Key Players:
Jed Brown (Logan Lighting): The Logan captain has been in impressive form this season with six goals in eight games and will look to build upon his brace last week Sunshine Coast FC.
Christopher Nwokeke (Sunshine Coast FC): A winger with the eye for the spectacular, Nwokeke could be the difference–maker as Sunshine Coast look to upset Mitchelton.
Jarryd Gore (Holland Park): Holland Park skipper Jarryd Gore is the rock holding things together in the heart of the Holland Park defence and will need to put in a big performance against Wolves who have been scoring freely in recent weeks.
