Six action-packed days of football
Football Queensland will welcome junior teams from across the state, nation and overseas for a six-day showcase event from 29 September to 4 October 2026, as the Pacific Championships come to the Sunshine Coast.
Hosted on the Sunshine Coast, and delivered in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council, the tournament will bring together emerging talent in a vibrant, high-energy festival of football.

Welcome to the Pacific Championships
On behalf of Football Queensland, I’d like to welcome all players, coaches, referees, and families to the beautiful Sunshine Coast for the 2026 Pacific Championships.
An expanded edition of the tournament will see additional age groups feature this year, providing more opportunities for the next generation of up-and-coming stars to test their skills as they play high-quality match minutes against new opposition.
We’re also excited to host the Pacific Championships on the Sunshine Coast again in 2026 as we continue to elevate the event experience for participants and spectators.
From the beautiful beaches to the local attractions, the Sunshine Coast will continue to provide the perfect backdrop to the tournament this year, and we thank the Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast for their ongoing support of the Pacific Championships.

Watch as our emerging talent from the NPL Women take on the Brisbane Roar in a game that’s bound to be packed with edge-of-your-seat action. This game is the perfect chance to see Queensland’s future stars take on the Roar, as they prepare for their upcoming Ninja A-League Women’s season. Following on from the Pacific Championships Medal Ceremony, all registered Pacific Championships players will receive one complimentary ticket.
All Pacific Championships Junior Championships participants will receive complimentary entry to the Pacific Championships Medal Presentation Ceremony and the Queensland Women vs Brisbane Roar Women Exhibition Match at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Complimentary entry includes:
All registered players; and
One (1) team official per participating team.
Teams will be required to redeem their complimentary tickets prior to the event. Detailed instructions regarding the ticket redemption process will be distributed separately.
On arrival at Sunshine Coast Stadium, participating teams will be directed to the designated Pacific Championships Teams Bay Area where they will be marshalled for the Medal Presentation Ceremony. Teams receiving medals (Champions, Runners-Up, Third Place teams and Match Officials) will be issued event wristbands, which will provide controlled access to the Field of Play for presentation purposes.
Access to the Field of Play will be limited to authorised participants and wristband holders only. Following the Medal Presentation Ceremony, all participants will be directed to their allocated seating areas to enjoy the exhibition match.

Medal Presentations for all U10 – U14 competitions will occur at the Sunshine Coast Stadium as a prelude to the Queensland vs Brisbane Roar Women’s match.

- Parking is available free of charge at all Pacific Championships venues.
🚗 Carpooling Encouraged
- Limited parking capacity at peak times.
- Teams and families are encouraged to carpool wherever possible.
🚦 Traffic Management
- Follow all event signage and directions from venue staff and traffic controllers.
- Allow additional travel and parking time, particularly during peak periods.
Caloundra FC
Parking at Caloundra FC is limited, so please arrive early and carpool where possible.
Where to park
- Caloundra FC parking – access via Meridan Way ONLY.
- Kawana AFL overflow parking – access via Red Cedar Drive ONLY.
Important access information
- The connecting boom gates between the two parking areas will remain closed.
- There is no through-access from Meridan Way to Red Cedar Drive. Please ensure you use the correct entry point for your chosen parking area.
- Follow event signage and the directions of parking marshals on arrival.
Beerwah Glasshouse United FC
Roadworks are underway near the venue. Please allow extra travel time, expect delays on surrounding roads, follow the traffic signage, and carpool where possible.
Where to park
- P3 – spectator parking. This is the main public car park. Access is directed around the lower fields on a one-way traffic system, with the exit via the rear gate onto Coulson Road. Watch for the No Entry signage before the concrete bridge.
- P1 – drop-off and pick-up only. No spectator parking in this area.
- Overflow parking – the upper field may be opened if needed, weather and ground conditions permitting.
Volunteers will be on hand to help direct parking. A gold coin donation is appreciated and goes to the local community.
Sunshine Coast Wanderers FC
Parking arrangements have been updated at Sunshine Coast Wanderers FC. Please arrive early and follow the directions of traffic controllers onsite.
Where to park
- Sunshine Coast Wanderers FC main car park – the car park has been expanded, with additional parking available adjacent to Field 3.
- Sunshine Coast Hockey Centre – additional overflow parking has been secured for the event.

Can I invite players from other clubs to join my team?
Yes. Players registered with other clubs may be invited to join your squad, provided they are eligible to play within the relevant tournament division age range.
Can players who are older or younger than the age group my team competes in during the season be included?
Yes. Teams may include players who fall outside the usual age group by applying for a dispensation. A dispensation form will be shared once your
team registration has been completed. If your team already holds an approved dispensation in your current league competition, approval for the Pacific Championships will not be an issue and will be granted.
Will my team need to have both home and away kits?
Yes. Teams will be required to have both home and away playing kits. Once teams are registered, the Football Queensland Competition Department will contact clubs/schools to complete and submit a Playing Kit Form.
My club wants to register more than three (3) teams at once. Can we pay via invoice?
Yes. Clubs or schools wishing to register more than three (3) teams may request invoice payment by contacting events@footballqueensland.com.au.
Upon request, Football Queensland will complete the registrations on your behalf and issue an invoice for payment.

What are the playing formats for each age group?
Under 9 boys and Under 9/10 girls teams will play 7-a-side.
Under 10-14 boys and U11-14 girls will play 9-a-side.
how many players per team can register?
Under 9 boys and Under 9/10 girls teams playing 7-a-side can register a maximum of 12 players per team.
Under 10-14 boys and U11-14 girls playing 9-a-side can register a maximum of 14 players per team.
which clubs can participate?
All Football Queensland affiliated clubs can participate in the tournament. Clubs from outside Queensland need to be affiliated with your country, state or region’s official governing body or federation to participate.
Are pets allowed in the venue?
No pets or non-assistance animals are permitted at either venue. Certified and legally recognised assistance dogs are welcome, including guide dogs, hearing dogs, mobility assistance dogs, medical alert dogs, psychiatric assistance dogs, and autism assistance dogs. Attendees may be asked to provide evidence that the dog is an assistance animal, such as accreditation, certification, handler identification, or supporting documentation from a treating health professional where applicable.

Payment Due Date: 15 July 2026
Registrations received after 15 July 2026 are required to be paid in full at the time of registration.
Please note that no refunds will be issued for any team withdrawal, cancellation, or non-attendance occurring after 15 July 2026, regardless of the circumstances. This includes registrations submitted after 15 July 2026.
