Football Queensland (FQ) regrets to confirm it has accepted the resignation of Chief Operating Officer Graham Lee due to personal and family reasons.
An experienced administrator both in and outside of football, Graham originally joined FQ in January 2013 as Communications, Media, Marketing and IT Manager.
Formerly president at Samford Rangers FC, he rose to the position of Chief Operating Officer in May 2015 where he worked across both the community football and PlayStation® 4 National Premier Leagues spaces.
His experience and depth of knowledge, developed from a variety of voluntary and professional roles, significantly benefitted FQ throughout a time of sustained growth.
“Graham has earned the respect of many at all levels of the football community and we will miss his passion for the game,” said FQ Chief Executive Officer Geoff Foster.
“It is a measure of his character that he made the decision to step down now during a tough time to allow us to plan for the future.
“We will now assess the nature of the role before beginning the process of making a new appointment.”
Football Queensland thanks Graham for his contribution to the game and wishes he and his family the very best for the future.
