Football Queensland President Greg Redington received the Medal of the Order of Australia yesterday as part of the 2017 Queens Birthday Honours. Greg was awarded the prestigious honour for his work within his local community of Townsville and in football.
As an active member in the Rotary community for over a decade Greg took on a number of different roles within the organisation before bringing his experience to local football clubs in North Queensland. His passion for football and desire to grow the sport in Queensland led to his appointment as FQ President in 2013.
