International Football Coaching Conference Australia (IFCCA) is pleased to announce Brisbane Strikers Technical Director Nacho Ferrer as the conference’s sixth keynote speaker.
Ferrer joins a host of football coaching, development and technical specialists including Jonatan Cabanelas, Grant Downie OBE, Thomas Federspiel, Hope Powell CBE OBE and Maria Ruiz de Oña, bringing over 25 years of football experience to RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May.
With an expansive resume including working under French football royalty in Zinedine Zidane, former Real Madrid Academy Coach Ferrer is looking forward to the opportunity to benefit coaches of today by facilitating the means to develop high coaching standards.
“From a club’s perspective, we as professionals are responsible for providing our coaches with all the information to guide them in the way that we want them to coach and provide the best coaching practices,” said Ferrer.
“Only by developing very intelligent players is it feasible that the game reaches top quality standards.”
Ferrer’s passion for coaching and development led to his appointment from Madrid Football Federation to the Brisbane Strikers, setting his sights on stamping a footprint on Australian football.
“We want to implement world-class training and coaching and we want to reach world-class standards in terms of everything connected with a player,” Ferrer said.
Aside from speaking about the development of individual players and the connections they share within a team, Ferrer will showcase his knowledge in a practical demonstration of his work.
“The focus will be on analysing several training methods aimed to enhance decision-making,” Ferrer said.
“The capacity to understand and solve in a logical manner helps to eliminate any potential challenge faced within a game.”
With the event focused on delivering cutting-edge insight, research and approaches used by the world’s leading clubs and associations, IFCCA is excited to welcome Ferrer as a keynote speaker and demonstrator.
