It’s a reverse round in the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL), with all teams who played each other last weekend set to face each other again.
The Match of the Round will feature a heated battle between Rochedale Rovers and Capalaba FC.
The Match of the Round can be viewed live and on demand on the FQ website, FQ Facebook and FQ YouTube channel.
It was the visitors Rochedale Rovers who came away with a 3-2 win last week over Capalaba, in a close match that featured two fantastic goals from the winning side.
If Rochedale are able to do it again, they will sit equal on points with the second-placed Bulldogs.
For Capalaba, a win could keep them in touch with top of the table Logan Lightning, depending on their result this weekend.
With promotion set to come down to the wire, all points are valuable for those chasing top spots.
MATCH DETAILS
Rochedale Rovers v Capalaba FC
Saturday, 18 May, 7:15pm
Underwood Park
Other key games:
Ipswich Knights v Sunshine Coast Wanderers
With one point separating the two sides after Ipswich Knights claimed the three points last weekend, this is set to be a must-watch match. The Wanderers have two games in hand which could potentially launch them back into promotion contention if they are able to pick up their first win since Round 5 this weekend.
Mitchelton FC v Souths United
A late winner saw Mitchelton put themselves in fourth place after last week’s performance, but Souths held their own in a game that went down to the wire. Mitchelton will be looking to pick up back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they face Souths again this weekend, while Souths will be keen to claim back a win after the close match last week.
Players to watch:
Rhys Breagan (Rochedale Rovers): Scored two cracking goals against Capalaba which helped his team to a 3-2 win.
Nicholas Tubbs (Holland Park Hawks): Not only did he keep the only clean sheet out of all five games in Round 9, it was also the first clean sheet for the team this season.
Sam Langley (Logan Lightning): Scored the winning goal from a free-kick which kept his side on top of the table.
