Nominations are now open for the 2020 FFA Cup, with Queensland clubs invited to submit a nomination for their senior team to compete in the national competition.
Run by Football Federation Australia (FFA) in conjunction with State and Territory Member Federations, the FFA Cup provides clubs from around the country, from community level to the National Premier Leagues (NPL), with the opportunity to play on the national stage.
A successful run in the 2019 competition saw three Queensland teams progress to the FFA Cup Round of 16, with Brisbane Strikers becoming the first Queensland club ever to qualify for the Semi Finals.
In 2020, Queensland has been allocated four spots in the the FFA Cup Round of 32 within two qualification regions:
- South East Queensland (including Sunshine Coast Football, Football Queensland South West, Football Brisbane and Football Gold Coast)
- Central & Northern Queensland (including Football Wide Bay, Central Queensland Football, Mackay Regional Football Zone, North Queensland Football, North West Queensland Football and Far North Queensland Football)
Queensland club nominations for the 2020 FFA Cup will close at COB on Wednesday, 15 January 2020.
