Football Queensland (FQ) has today released the 2020-2022 Futsal Strategy, designed to deliver a strong and clear direction for futsal in Queensland in the coming years.
“We are excited to unveil the 2020-2022 Futsal Strategy as Football Queensland outlines a clear and bold vision for futsal in the state,” FQ President Ben Richardson said.
“The Futsal Strategy is the result of constructive consultation with the futsal community, and seeks to unite, inspire and enable Queenslanders of all backgrounds to live and love the game, for life.”
“Football Queensland remains committed to unlocking the potential of futsal and through initiatives like the new F–League and referee strategies, we will support the growth not only of the sport, but of our member futsal clubs as we forge a brighter future for futsal in Queensland,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said
“Futsal is an integral part of our game, and only by uniting futsal in Queensland can we transform the sport into a more structured and well-resourced one that delivers participation opportunities for all Queenslanders.
“Aligned with FQ’s 2020-2022 Strategic Plan released last year, the Futsal Strategy identifies Football Queensland’s strategic priorities and key targets for futsal across four pillars; Participation, Infrastructure, Clubs and Community, and Leadership and People.
“Over the next two years, Football Queensland will focus on growing participation, strengthening our futsal clubs, improving access to infrastructure and building capability and capacity of administrators, among other initiatives outlined in the Futsal Strategy.
“Football Queensland is excited to work alongside our futsal community to continue growing the game as we work towards the key targets and outcomes set out in the 2020-2022 Futsal Strategy.”
