Following the Queensland Government announcement this morning of a three-day lockdown in South East Queensland from 4pm today, all football activity in SEQ has been suspended until 11:59pm on Tuesday, 3 August.
The suspension of all football activity includes any and all forms of training sessions, matches and all other football-related gatherings, and will take effect immediately from 11am today, Saturday 31 July for all participants and clubs in the following SEQ Local Government Areas: Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Moreton Bay, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley and Somerset.
Any matches that are currently underway may be completed, however all participants attending other matches that are yet to commence should go home as soon as possible as all further matches are cancelled.
Training and football activity in other parts of the state unaffected by the lockdown may continue, however any participants who have been in South East Queensland since 1am this morning are required to follow the lockdown restrictions even if they are currently located outside of the affected regions.
Football Queensland will continue to keep the football community updated as more information becomes available.
