Football Queensland has today confirmed that the 2022 State Referee Conference will be delivered online due to the increasing number of COVID cases in Queensland.
Originally scheduled to be held at the Logan Entertainment Centre, the conference will instead be held virtually with further information on conference dates and access to the online event to be confirmed shortly.
“The online delivery of the 2022 State Referee Conference is an important way of protecting the health and safety of attendees while providing match officials from all parts of Queensland with the opportunity to participate without needing to travel from their region,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“Hosting the sessions online will also allow guest speakers from outside of Queensland to present at the conference and remove the additional challenges relating to interstate travel at this time.
“The State Referee Conference will be the perfect introduction to the 2022 season for referees at all levels of the game, so we encourage Queensland match officials to confirm their attendance once registrations open.”
Further information on the conference guest speakers and agenda, registrations and access to the online event will be confirmed shortly.
