Football Queensland (FQ) is pleased to announce an extension to its partnership with McDonald’s and its sponsorship of football on the Sunshine Coast.
The partnership will see McDonald’s continue to sponsor Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) Sunshine Coast Men’s and Women’s competitions again in 2022.
“Since 2010, McDonald’s has been a proud sponsor of football on the Sunshine Coast and we thank them for their continued investment in our beautiful game,” FQ Central Coast General Manager Andy Allan said.
“McDonald’s has provided positive outcomes for football on the Sunshine Coast in recent years by donating a significant number of items including training balls, ground official vests, training bibs and more.
“We’re excited McDonald’s will continue to support all levels of football on the Sunshine Coast, including the FQPL competitions which will now be known as the McDonald’s Football Queensland Premier League Men’s and Women’s.
“There has never been a more exciting time to support football in the region as we see the introduction of connected competitions and the new FQPL Sunshine Coast, and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship with McDonald’s into the future.”
As part of the partnership, McDonald’s will donate one marquee, water bottles and an orange juice bowl to all FQ affiliated clubs on the Sunshine Coast. Clubs will also receive training balls and the opportunity to apply for the McDonald’s shirt grant scheme.
McDonald’s Sunshine Coast Franchisee Gary Binet said the partnership had been a valuable one for both parties.
“We’ve formed a great relationship with Sunshine Coast clubs in recent years, and we look forward to continuing to work with Football Queensland to provide support to local clubs and the Sunshine Coast football community.”
The partnership also includes distribution of Encouragement Awards and Rewards Cards to all affiliated Sunshine Coast clubs. A ‘Maccas MVP of the Week’ will be chosen from the recipients of the Encouragement Awards.
