FQPL 3 Metro Men’s and Women’s is set to return this weekend after the weather impact! Here is a brief preview of what we can expect!
FQPL 3 Men’s
Western Spirit and Acacia Ridge will be hoping to get maximum points when they square off to keep in touch with the top six. A win to either side could propel them within striking distance of a top four spot. All will be on the line in the bottom of the table clash between The Gap and UQFC on Friday night. A win to either side could see them out of the relegation zone by the end of the weekend. Newmarket and Toowong square off in possibly a big game for top four aspirations at McCook Park. Newmarket have been in form of late and will be hoping to keep that up against the visitors. Pine Hills host Mt Gravatt and will be favoured to win and put themselves within reach of the top two in their clash. Both St. George and The Lakes have home games against Bayside and Centenary respectively with the league leaders facing the tougher test against Bayside who with a win could potentially go four points behind with a game in hand against Willawong.
FQPL 3 Women’s
Mt Gravatt and Toowong do battle this weekend with either side yet to lose a game. All will be on the line as they both look to maintain some proximity to league leaders North Brisbane who face 4th placed Southside Eagles at home. Caboolture will be looking to propel themselves back in the top four as they host Bethania at Moreton Bay Sports Complex with the Rams yet to win a game this season. Springfield United and North Star face off in an interesting game for both sides hoping to get some more points on the board to possibly ignite a run in the season.
