The FQ Academy State Carnival, Queensland’s largest talent event of the year, is set to return from Monday, 3 April to Thursday, 6 April.
Delivered in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council, the carnival will be held at the South Pine Sports Complex and will welcome Under 13 to Under 16 boys and Under 14 and Under 16 girls from across the state.
“The FQ Academy State Carnival being held early next month presents a valuable opportunity to connect metro and regional talent as we welcome junior boys and girls from across the state to play against their peers,” General Manager – Football & State Technical Director, Gabor Ganczer said.
“This year is a special one as we host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ in Australia and New Zealand, I am sure this event will inspire our current and future athletes for generations to come.
“The first step to the world stage for Queensland players is our FQ Academy, and the FQ Academy State Carnivals in both April and July are pivotal in recognising our best players’ potential to choose attendees for our National Talent ID camps.”
In addition to the on-field program, regional players in attendance will also participate in education sessions focused on sport psychology, nutrition and high performance.
