Football Queensland’s inaugural Queensland Football Convention will bring together clubs, coaches, referees and participants from across the state as the football community explores the unifying theme of ‘Elevate the Debate’ to chart a bold new course for the game.
The key pillars of Growth, Sustainability, and Technology will underpin the Queensland Football Convention, designed to drive forward the progress and success of the game as attendees engage in strategic discussions, learn from industry experts, and participate in breakout sessions tailored to their specific roles.
“Across three dynamic days, the inaugural Queensland Football Convention will allow members of our statewide football community to immerse themselves in ground-breaking discussions, cutting-edge innovations, and collaborative sessions designed to shape the future of our game here in Queensland,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“The Queensland Football Convention will elevate the debate across three key pillars, exploring how we can best unlock the next phase of growth for the game including the road to 50/50. We will unpack governance and administration structures needed to support sustainable clubs, and the role of enabling technology in football.
“Presenting a unique opportunity for our clubs, coaches, referees and participants to dive into the strategic direction and future of football in Queensland as part of the football convention, the landmark event will also feature a cocktail networking evening to connect football stakeholders with key business and government representatives in addition to the 2024 Football in Queensland Awards Night.
“For those wanting to be at the forefront of football’s evolution in our state, the Queensland Football Convention is an event not to be missed.”
The Queensland Football Convention will be held from Friday, 1 November to Sunday, 3 November 2024, with nationally and internationally renowned guest speakers to be announced shortly.
First release tickets will go on sale next Monday, 10 June, with a limited release of 125 tickets available to clubs, coaches, referees and participants at a discounted first release rate.
