Football Queensland has released the season calendars for 2025, with a unified schedule to again be implemented across all regions following the introduction of the connected football pyramid.
The release of the calendars follows one of the most exciting years for football in Queensland as new cup competitions and events were introduced across the state, bringing more football to Queenslanders in every region.
“As we prepare for the 2025 season, Football Queensland has worked closely and collaboratively with all Queensland clubs to produce the final season calendars released today,” Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“The 2025 season calendars outline all football activity throughout the state, including Football Queensland competitions at every level and other major events including WinterFest and the Pacific Championships.
“2025 promises to be another monumental year for our sport, starting with the National Futsal Championships in Melbourne from January 8 to 11, followed by the return of outdoor fixtures with the Kappa Queensland Cup in late January and early February.
“Building on the success of newly introduced competitions like the Metro League Cup and the Kappa Pro Series Women in 2024, which for the first time showcased our FQPL 1 and 2 Women’s teams alongside the NPL and FQPL 1 Men’s teams in a statewide knockout format, we anticipate even more thrilling matches and surprises in 2025 that will captivate Queensland fans.
“Thank you to all members of our football community who have been part of our game this year, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another great season in 2025.”
