Football Queensland is pleased to announce the appointment of Tomas Castillo to the role of Region Manager of Far North & Gulf (Mount Isa).
Castillo joins Football Queensland with a wealth of knowledge in sports administration, having previous experience with prominent organisations including Boxing Australia, Touch Football ACT, Capital Football, and most recently as a Sports Administrator at one of Canberra’s top schools.
“We are excited to welcome Tomas to Football Queensland as he joins our Far North & Gulf team to help grow and develop our game to greater heights in Mount Isa,” General Manager – Northern Conference Craig Ramage said.
“Tomas’ appointment marks an exciting new chapter for football in Mount Isa, as we work towards expanding our reach and impact in the region with new leadership and expertise critical in driving our mission forward to unlock new opportunities for clubs, players, and communities.
“His diverse experience in sports administration, combined with his proven track record of overseeing large-scale sporting programs, will be invaluable as we work closely with clubs across the region to grow and engage the football community in Mount Isa.
“Tomas’ commitment to improving technical development, inclusivity, and participation through innovative initiatives makes him the perfect fit to help us build on the strong foundation established in 2024 with our local clubs, leagues and competitions at all levels.
“Football Queensland remains committed to the continued growth of football at all levels, and Tomas’ appointment is an important step in realising the organisation’s vision for the region.”
Castillo will commence the role from next Monday, 16 December.
