Dear Clubs,
Football Queensland (FQ) would like to inform clubs of the On-Field Kit Regulations applicable for 2027.
The 2027 On-Field Kit Regulations apply to ALL Queensland clubs with Men’s, Women’s and Junior teams participating in the NPL, QPL (formerly FQPL), FQ Academy Leagues and Community Junior and Senior competitions. The document includes information on the kit regulations for the 2027 season and sponsorship assets available to clubs.
From 2027, Football Queensland will introduce the Queensland Premier League (QPL) as a new brand replacing the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL). To accompany the statewide introduction of the QPL, a new competition logo has been created, and all QPL clubs are expected to adopt and display the new logo on their playing kits for the 2027 season. More information is outlined in the On-Field Kit Regulations document.
All clubs are reminded that they are not permitted, under any circumstance, to advertise any alcohol related products, gambling, tobacco and political slogans/candidates/members on their playing kit.
Hospitality venues whose business name directly references alcohol or brewing (e.g. Newstead Brewery) are not permitted to appear on playing kits. Venues that serve alcohol, but whose business name contains no reference to alcohol or brewing (e.g. Regatta Hotel) are permitted.
Clubs competing in NPL, QPL and FQ Academy League competitions are advised that the approved sponsor position #5 (Football Queensland Sponsor Logo) will continue to be unavailable to clubs for the 2027 season.
Football Queensland has again amended the Football Australia Playing Strip Requirements to provide clubs with additional commercial sponsorship opportunities (#17 & #20 above number). Clubs should note, however, that separate playing strip requirements apply if they qualify for the Australia Cup Final Rounds.
The 2027 On-Field Kit Regulations replace all previous versions or advice previously issued by Football Queensland.
All clubs must submit their kit designs by the deadline listed below using the designated online form and receive approval before placing any kit orders.
2027 kit submission due dates:
- Advanced Competitions (NPL – QPL 2 and all SEQ & regional QPL competitions): Friday, 13 November 2026
- Community Competitions: Saturday, 6 February 2027
