South West Queensland are recognising and highlighting volunteers from the region every month. All award winners will be published right here as they are announced and recognised through South West Queensland’s social media channels.

January
Winner: Tiffany Burstow
Tiffany has been with the club for three years and is the both the President and MiniRoos coordinator for the upcoming season. She is currently running the club sign on days, marking the field, organising training sessions and preparing the playing kits. Tiffany is a great asset to USQ as both a volunteer and a player in the O30 social competition and Premier Ladies team.
February
Winner: Cameron Ives
Cameron has been the driving force behind TAS United forming a voluntary committee so that the club can continue in the South West Football League. He has put countless hours into preparing a club vision and proposal which outlines how TAS United can go from an underperforming school based club to a community club for East Toowoomba.
March
Winner: Jackson Bell
Jackson is an integral part of the club and was nominated for his immense work behind the scenes and for stepping up to coach four teams this season including the Premier Men’s team.
April
Winner: Nathan Davies
Nathan is a passionate long time volunteer at the club who has been coaching junior teams for more than 10 years. This year he’s also stepped into coaching Senior Men and is one of the canteen conveners who always puts his hand up to help.
May
Winner: Ray & Alycia Cooper
This husband-and-wife duo are President and Secretary of the club that they’ve been involved with for the past 5 years. The Coopers coach junior teams, look after the canteen, take care of the fields and make sure the club continues to provide positive footballing experiences for all players.
June
Winner: Ross Cardillo
As with all country clubs, volunteers are very scarce and a few people wear lots of hats – Ross is one of these and many times the club comes first. In addition to being Club President since 2015, Ross also plays in the Men’s team that competes in the Toowoomba Football Leagues competition, coaches the local junior and senior teams and is the club groundsman!
July
Winner: Steven Goh
Steven is the lifeblood of TAS United working as the Club Treasurer, Club Coaching Coordinator and Junior Coach. He also organises school holiday clinics and has been integral in establishing clinics to provide additional development opportunities for the next generation of superstars.
August
Winner: Troy Delaforce
Troy is friendly, organised and always keeps the club, players and parents interests’ at heart. He is a pleasure to work with and has done a marvelous job with the junior teams, kit, supplies, balls and information.
September
Winner: Steven Copas
Steven has played a pivotal role for football in the South Burnett and continues to be involved at both Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club as Vice President and as President of Football South Burnett. He is a valued and treasured member of the football community who greatly appreciate the tireless work he does.
October
Winner: Brian Westerhout
Regardless of the task, Brian is always the first to step in and get the job done. As both President and coach, he is seen regularly marking and mowing the fields, serving in the canteen, attending club events, and training the Men’s team. Thanks for all your hard work!
