Kappa Festival of Football
ABOUT
The Kappa Festival of Football is FQ’s epic seven-game football extravaganza showcasing the state’s top male and female talent in matches against New South Wales and Brisbane Roar’s A-League and Westfield W-League sides.
The three-week football feast begins with two action-packed evenings on 27 & 28 November as Perry Park hosts the NPL Queensland Men’s, Women’s and Football Queensland Premier League Grand Finals.
The following weekend sees Brisbane Roar enter the fray for a Dolphin Stadium double-header against the NPL Queensland All-Star teams on 5 December.
Then, on 12 December, the Kappa Festival of Football reaches its crescendo when a famed rivalry reignites, as Queensland’s best male and female players and coaches represent the state in a blockbuster battle for bragging rights against New South Wales.
The Queensland State Team squads have had another injection of quality this week as they prepare to reignite the rivalry with New South Wales in two blockbuster clashes at Perry Park on Saturday evening.
Football Queensland (FQ) and Football NSW are pleased to announce this Saturday’s massive back-to-back matches at the iconic Perry Park will be played for the Gibb-Masters Cup (Men) and the Watson-O’Connor Cup (Women) as the states reignite a long-running and storied rivalry.
There will be plenty of A-League and Westfield W-League experience on show when the NPL All-Stars face Brisbane Roar at Dolphin Stadium tonight – and not just among those wearing orange.
Queensland State Team Head Coaches Alex Bundalo and Ben Cahn have strengthened their Kappa Festival of Football options with several squad additions ahead of the upcoming matches against Brisbane Roar and the New South Wales State Team.
Football Queensland (FQ) can today reveal the 25 players selected in the combined NPL All-Stars and Queensland State Team Men’s squad for the Kappa Festival of Football.
