The Queensland Football Pyramid
The Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) 1 and 2 competitions underpin the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland through a system of promotion and relegation.
The FQPL also serves as the premier regional competition across the state, connecting clubs from the Far North to the South Coast as part of Queensland’s statewide football pyramid.
2025 marked a year of meaningful progress for football in Queensland, with FQ`s investment in pathways and development, infrastructure and governance strengthening the foundations of the game through the ongoing delivery of key operational strategies ⚽
Highlights included the expansion of opportunities for referees and coaches and securing of record investment in football infrastructure, while Football Queensland also bolstered support for volunteers and administrators statewide through the launch of the Future Club+ initiative and revamped Club Support Hub.
