Stage 2 of the Queensland Government’s easing of restrictions is now underway, and from June 5 clubs who are Stage 2 prepared and in a state of readiness may commence training sessions for three groups of 20 people per field in accordance with Football Queensland’s Return to Training guidelines.
The commencement of Stage 2 will not necessarily mean that all players, teams or clubs across the state will commence training immediately.
Participants are reminded to check with their club for information on plans for a return to training.
Clubs have been advised to consider how they can schedule training sessions to meet the requirements of the FQ Return to Training guidelines and the Queensland Government’s directives. Some clubs may wish to prioritise a return to training for certain age groups (juniors or seniors) or teams based on limited field times available and maximum numbers of three groups of 20 per field.
Participation in any form of sanctioned training activities may only take place if registration via Play Football has been completed and insurance coverage is in place.
