Les Bee, Football Federation Australia’s National Community Coach Development Manager, will lead two induction workshops for prospective Community Coach Coordinators this month.
The induction evenings will be held on the Sunshine Coast on Monday, 21 March and at Meakin Park in Logan the following night – Tuesday, 22 March.
Football Queensland launched the Community Coach Coordinators initiative in February with a view to establishing mentors for grassroots football coaches throughout the state.
Bee (pictured above; left) will provide anyone interested in volunteering as a Coordinator with the ability to support and guide community-level coaches.
Football Queensland Regional Development Officer Scott Grimshaw (pictured above; right) has been appointed to oversee the program as Community Coach Development Manager and is excited about the chance for coaches to learn new techniques.
“Having Les here is a fantastic opportunity for local club coaches to gain some knowledge direct from FFA,” Grimshaw said.
“The workshop is ideal for a Director of Coaching or anyone who is proactive within a club to come along and learn about ways to manage, mentor and organise coaches.”
Get involved in the Community Coach Coordinators program by REGISTERING for a workshop through the contacts below. Light dinner will be provided at both sessions
