North Queenslander India Kubin has kicked-off her international career in the best possible fashion, scoring twice in the Mini Matildas’ opening match at the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers in Vietnam.
Kubin started and scored in the 11th and 30th minutes as Australia’s U17 team cruised to a professional 28-0 win over Palestine.
The big victory is the perfect start to the Mini Matildas’ quest to qualify for next year’s AFC U-16 Women’s Championship in China.

Australia need to finish top of Group D in order to join the likes of DPR Korea, Japan, Thailand and China at the tournament.
Northern Fury forward Kubin is joined by fellow Brisbane-based goalkeeper and fellow Queensland State Team representative Shekinah Friske in Ante Juric’s squad.
The pair will be aiming to build their international experience with matches against Iraq, Vietnam and Uzbekistan to come over the next week.
