Football Queensland has investigated an incident that occurred in the National Premier Leagues match between Moreton Bay United and Olympic FC at Wolter Park on Saturday, February 24, 2018.
The investigation relates to the actions of several persons regarding their respective roles relating to an on-field melee that occurred at the end of the match and two spectators who entered the field of play with ignited flares.
In accordance with competition regulations and Football Queensland by-laws, the investigation was commenced following an incident report provided to Football Queensland by the match officials after the fixture.
FQ has reviewed video footage, match official statements and club statements and has since sanctioned players and officials by issuing a suspended one match ban, in accordance with the National Disciplinary Regulations.
The two spectators who ignited the flares and entered the field of play will be issued with show cause notices under the National Code of Conduct and FFA Spectator Code of Behaviour.
