The bottom three face tough assignments at teams eager to improve their league positions, whilst the top two will both be in action on Sunday against teams from the bottom half of the table.
Sunshine Coast Wanderers v The Gap FC
Ballinger Park
Saturday, 2 June, 5:00pm
The rested Gap travel to Buderim
The Wanderers will welcome a rested Gattors side to Buderim on Saturday evening after their Round 15 clash against the Roar NTC was postponed.
The hosts have lost their last four matches in the NPLW and shipped five goals without reply last time the two sides met in Round three.
The Gap have scored 22 goals in their last two games, netting double figures against both the bottom two teams. The Wanderers are third from bottom and will be eager to not suffer the same fate.
Mitchelton FC v Eastern Suburbs FC
Teralba Park
Saturday, 2 June, 6:00pm
The Mustangs eying up a top four spot
Mitchelton take on Easts at Teralba Park on Saturday night and are within touching distance of a place in the top four.
A win – coupled with a Moreton Bay United defeat – will see the Mustangs creep into the Finals spots but to do so they’ll have to beat an Easts side that have scored seven goals in their last two matches.
The hosts have won three of their last four matches in the league.
Logan Lightning v Moreton Bay United
Cornubia Park
Saturday, 2 June, 6:15pm
Can Lightning ground the Jets?
Logan will take on Moreton Bay United at Cornubia Park on Saturday night, having suffered two successive defeats in the league against Easts and Lions.
Moreton Bay United are in a sparkling run of form, having only lost once in their past eight matches in the league. Saturdays visitors also beat the Lightning earlier this season 4-2 at Wolter Park in Round 3.
Capalaba Bulldogs v SWQ Thunder
John Frederick Sportsfields
Saturday, 2 June, 6:30pm
Are these Bulldogs scared of Thunder?
The Bulldogs have been in inconsistent form of late, winning just two of their last five matches in the league as they prepare to welcome the SWQ Thunder to John Frederick Sportsfields on Saturday night.
The Thunder will be up against it at the Kennel, having only won a single game this season as well as losing their last five – shipping 34 goals in the process. Capalaba won 5-1 earlier in the season at Gatton.

Lions hope to narrow gap
Gold Coast United face an unenviable task on Sunday evening in front of the Football Queensland cameras when they welcome second placed Lions to Robina.
The Lions have only lost once all season and will be looking to keep the pressure on league leaders Souths United who currently have a five point gap.
The Surfsiders are in inconsistent form themselves and have only won two of their four matches at Station Reserve so far this season.
Souths United v Mudgeeraba
Wakerley Park Synthetic
Sunday, 3 June, 5:00pm
Super Souths keen to avoid slip up
Mudgeeraba gave a much improved display last Sunday in front of the Football Queensland cameras – but will certainly be the underdogs for this clash against the league leaders on Sunday night when they travel to Wakerley Park.
Souths have not lost since Round five and are soaring away at the top of the NPLW ladder – with a five point cushion to second placed Lions. However the league leaders only scored four past Mudgeeraba at Sid Bigg Park.
If Mudgeeraba can continue to show the same level of improvement that they showed against the Pride last week, then they might just be able to pull off the shock of the season so far.
Western Pride v Brisbane Roar/NTC
Briggs Road Sporting Complex
Sunday, 10 June, 5:00pm
Pride have to wait for Roar
Pride and the Roar will have an extra week to prepare for this one after it was scheduled for next weekend.
The Roar/NTC are on a three game winning streak but have not played a game in the NPLWsince the 19th of May after last week’s postponement against The Gap – surely interrupting their momentum.
Belinda Kitching was not overly pleased with her side despite their 6-2 victory over Mudgeeraba last week and will likely use the time to help her young squad iron refresh themselves and regroup after an at times difficult season.
