Wanderers aiming for top four
FQPL Premiers Peninsula Power host third-placed Sunshine Coast Wanderers at AJ Kelly Park on Saturday afternoon.
If Power avoid defeat, coach Aaron Philp will have navigated his side the entire 2018 campaign without losing a single game.
Wanderers, on the other hand, need a favourable result to ensure their top four place is confirmed by round’s end although the Coast side could still play finals football with a loss – depending on other results.
Wide Bay Buccaneers v Southside Eagles
Martens Oval
Saturday, 25 August, 5:00pm
Wide Bay’s last chance for points
Wide Bay Buccaneers will be looking to avoid going the entire season without picking up a single point when they welcome fellow strugglers Southside Eagles to Martens Oval.
Both teams have only pride to play for and Wide Bay will be hoping to finally give their fans something to cheer about as they run out for the final time this season.
Logan Lightning v Mitchelton FC
Cornubia Park
Saturday, 25 August, 6:00pm
Make or break for Lightning
Logan Lightning will need to collect maximum points at home against Mitchelton FC if they are any chance of making the finals.
Lightning currently sit in fifth having dropped out of the top four last week after spending most of the season near the top of the ladder.
In order to take back a finals berth, they will need either Sunshine Coast or Souths United to slip up.
Ipswich Knights v Rochedale Rovers
Eric Evans Oval
Saturday, 25 August, 6:00pm
Ipswich host Rochedale
Ipswich Knights welcome Rochedale Rovers to Eric Evans Oval on Saturday night for both teams final hit out of the season.
Ipswich have spent the entire season near the foot of the ladder, while inconsistent Rochedale have just missed out on the scramble for finals contention.
Both teams will be hoping to end their seasons with a morale-boosting victory.

Easts out to confirm promotion
After a shock 6-1 drubbing to a resurgent Souths United outfit last week, Eastern Suburbs look set to confirm their inevitable promotion to the NPL Queensland when travel to face Capalaba Bulldogs.
Capalaba have recorded eight wins, five draws and 10 losses so far this season and will be out to end their 2018 campaign on a high.
Souths United v Wolves FC
Wakerley Park
Saturday, 25 August, 7:15pm
Souths desperate to hold onto fourth
Souths United finals’ fate is in their own hands when they welcome the in-form Wolves FC to Wakerley Park.
Souths currently sit in fourth position after a shock 6-1 victory over second placed Eastern Suburbs last round.
A win will all but guarantee Souths a finals spot, however Wolves FC have proven to be no easy beats in recent weeks, thanks largely to the scoring exploits of star striker Alejandro Martinez.
