Four Queensland squads will travel to Coffs Harbour for the FFA National Youth Championships for Boys (NYC) next week.
The state will be represented by a Queensland Metro and Queensland Country team in the Under 13 and Under 14 age groups.
Last night, the players were presented with their squad jerseys by Football Queensland State Technical Director Gabor Ganczer and Brisbane Roar FC club patron and former Socceroo Gary Wilkins.
Eight additional teams will be included in this year’s NYC, including academy teams from Brisbane Roar, Newcastle Jets and Perth Glory.
The Under 13 Queensland Metro team will open their campaign against South Australia Red, while the Under 13 Queensland Country team will play NSW Country.
For the Under 14 teams, Queensland Country will take on NSW Country, while Queensland Metro will play South Australia Red to open their campaign.
