The International Football Coaching Conference Australia (IFCCA) is pleased to announce a partnership with Football Coaches Australia (FCA).
IFCCA, held at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast on May 25 and 26 2019, is an opportunity for coaches at all levels to learn from world-renowned football presenters.
As part of the partnership, FCA will also have a representative present at IFCCA, which is Australia’s first national football only coaching conference in nine years.
FCA provides coaches with industry recognition as a significant stakeholder in Australian football, a platform for a collective voice and professional support in legal advocacy, high performance, leadership, development and well-being.
At FCA’s inaugural Annual General Meeting in July this year, former Central Coast Mariners coach Phil Moss was announced as President of the Executive Committee with Young Matildas coach Rae Dower named as Vice President.
“FCA is all about developing and supporting coaches so it makes perfect sense to partner with IFCCA in their bid to bring international knowledge and world best practice to Australia,” Moss said.
“IFCCA’s vision to become the go-to football conference in Australia fits ideally with FCA’s passion and determination to ensure our coaches receive the support and tools they require for success.”
Dower, who is currently attending the inaugural international FIFA Coach Mentorship Programme in Zurich, agreed.
“The opportunity for Australian coaches to be exposed to world’s best practice by having an international conference in our own back yard is a fantastic initiative by the IFCCA,” she said.
“The FCA are strong advocates in providing continual development opportunities for our members as life-long students of the game and are proud to partner with IFCCA.”
FCA’s members span from Australian national teams, the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League, National Premier Leagues (NPL) clubs, academy and youth development as well as overseas-based Australian coaches.
“IFCCA will deliver insight, research and approaches used by the world’s leading clubs and associations and we are very pleased to have the support of FCA,” Conference Director Ken Stead said.
“To ensure the long-term success of IFCCA, the input and feedback of coaches is vital.
“This partnership with FCA will ensure continuous communication, collaboration and consultation in the lead-up to the 2019 event and in the future.”
Two keynote speakers, Grant Downer OBE and Thomas Federspiel, have already been confirmed for IFCCA 2019 with additional speakers and panellists to be announced in the next month.
IFCCA delegate passes give attendees access to all conference sessions and all exhibitors across the two-day conference, as well as exclusive accommodation discounts at the RACV Royal Pines Resort.
