The South East Queensland Futsal Premier League (SEQFPL) Junior Grand Finals were held over the weekend at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre.
UNDER 12 BOYS
Sunshine Coast Wave 3 (Z. Roulston 7’, 28’, J. Richardson 33’)
Arana United 4 (R. Prates-Cowan 6’, J. Waddington 18’, A. Siebuhr 24’, 40’)
An Austin Siebuhr double helped Arana United to a 4-3 victory over Sunshine Coast Wave in the Under 12 Boys SEQFPL Grand Final.
Rafael Prates-Cowan and Jamie Waddington rounded out the scoring for Arana United, while Jordan Richardson and Zachary Roulston found the back of the net for Sunshine Coast Wave.
Up 2-1 at the break, Arana United held onto their lead to claim the Grand Final title.
UNDER 13 GIRLS
Arana United 3 (Z. Stone 22’, 37’, J. Mahon 35’)
Sunshine Coast Wave 0
Arana United completed the Premiership-Championship double, defeating Sunshine Coast Wave 3-0 in the Under 13 Girls SEQFPL Grand Final.
The Premiers rounded out their undefeated season with yet another win to claim Grand Final glory thanks to a Zara Stone double and a goal to Jessica Mahon.
UNDER 14 BOYS:

Bundaberg Wildcats 2 (K. Crofts 24’, L. Darcy 31’)
Premiers Sunshine Coast Wave defeated Bundaberg Wildcats 11-2 in the Under 14 Boys SEQFPL Grand Final thanks to an impressive team goal scoring effort.
Bailey Brandtman, Nathan Weckert and Maxx Demerutis all netted three goals to help Sunshine Coast Wave to a Grand Final victory, while Riley Adamson and Ryan Tappouras also found the back of the net for the Premiers.
Keanu Crofts and Luke Darcy both netted for Bundaberg Wildcats, but Sunshine Coast Wave proved too strong and secured the Premiership-Championship double.
UNDER 15 GIRLS:
Sunshine Coast Wave 1 (3) (G. Whitelaw 28’)
Redlands United Futsal 1 (4) (A. Vester 40’)
Redlands United Futsal defeated Premiers Sunshine Coast Wave 4-3 on penalties to claim the Under 15 Girls SEQFPL Championship.
The teams couldn’t be separated at full time thanks to goals from Grace Whitelaw and Abby Vester, but Redlands United were victorious in the resulting penalty shoot-out.
UNDER 16 BOYS
Bundaberg Wildcats 0
Sunshine Coast Wave 1 (B. Ross 32’)
Sunshine Coast Wave defeated Premiers Bundaberg Wildcats 1-0 in the Under 16 Boys SEQFPL Grand Final.
The only goal of the game came from Sunshine Coast Wave’s Brok Ross in the 32nd minute, with the Premiers unable to find the back of the net in the Grand Final.
UNDER 17 GIRLS
Sunshine Coast Wave 2 (3) (A. Campbell 14′, R. Avery 39′)
Arana United 2 (1) (T. Weygood 10′, S. Holland 23′)
Premiers Sunshine Coast Wave claimed the Premiership-Championship double, defeating Arana United 3-1 on penalties in the Under 17 Girls SEQFPL Grand Final.
The game was sent into a penalty shoot-out after scores were locked 2-2 at full time, with the Premiers going on to win 3-1 on penalties.
