Western Pride FC will host Magpies Crusaders FC in the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland and Lions FC in the National Premier Leagues Women’s (NPLW) in Saturday night’s Match of the Round double header from Briggs Road.

Western Pride and Lions FC will face off for the first time in 2019 in the NPLW Queensland Match of the Round.
Season so far:
Western Pride will be looking to bounce back this weekend after being defeated by Souths United 9-0 in their Round 1 clash of the NPLW Queensland.
Lions on the other hand will be carrying some momentum into the clash after a 2-0 defeat of Moreton Bay United in the opening round of the NPLW Queensland.
Lions secured the game in the final 10 minutes, with Captain Mariel Hecher opening the scoring in the 86th minute and debutant Whitney Knight’s injury time strike rounding out the scoring.
Last time they met:
The last time they met was in Round 25 last year, with Lions defeating Pride 6-2 thanks to a double to Tegan Riding and Lana Harch.

NPL QUEENSLAND
The NPL Queensland Round 4 Match of the Round is set to be an interesting one as both Western Pride and Magpies Crusaders search for their first win of the 2019 season.
Season so far:
Starting their season with three losses, including a narrow 3-2 defeat last week to Olympic, Western Pride will be desperate to pick up their first win of the season this weekend.
The Magpies will take to the field this weekend for the first time in three weeks, after their Round 2 match was postponed, followed by a Round 3 Bye.
Despite Jayden Connor opening the scoring with an impressive shot 30 yards out in the first half of their Round 1 clash, the Gold Coast Knights fought back and forced a draw.
Last time they met:
The last time the teams encountered each other was in Round 17 last year where Western Pride came out on top 5-0 thanks to a team goal scoring effort, with five different players finding the back of the net.
