Applications are now open for the next round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant program.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund supports clubs to enhance their capacity to provide services and opportunities that benefit their members and the community.
Applications up to $35,000 will be considered to help with facility upgrades and the purchase of new equipment and machinery.
With multiple clubs in North Queensland and Far North Queensland affected by the January floods, the grant program will make these applications a high priority.
Many Queensland football clubs have benefitted from the grant program in the past, with 10 Queensland football clubs successful in their applications in August 2018.
Over $230,000 was received by Queensland football clubs in Round 98 to improve their facilities, such as upgrading their fields, fitting out their canteen and renovating their kitchen.
Other clubs were able to purchase equipment and machinery such as goals, tractors and mower attachments.
The next round of Gambling Community Benefit Fund approval applications closes 31 May 2019 and Queensland clubs and zones are encouraged to consider projects that may meet the criteria of the program.
If your organisation is interested in applying and would like to discuss your project or eligibility, please contact David O’Leary at Football Queensland on infrastructure@footballqueensland.com.au, who can guide you through the process.
