Football Queensland (FQ) will be hosting an ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off for Girls program at Mappas Park next month.
The four-week program will be held every Friday afternoon from July 5 to July 26, with girls aged between 4 and 11 invited to participate in the course.
ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off for Girls is an introductory football program, with weekly sessions allowing young girls to build confidence while learning the basic skills of the game.

FQ Women and Girls Development Officer Kerry Hammersley said the program has been established to help young girls have an introduction to football in a setting they’re comfortable in.
“Some players might prefer to try football in a female-only environment where they are able to be around friends and have fun,” Hammersley said.
“The ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off for Girls program provides an opportunity for young girls looking to play football to take part in an introductory program that they’re comfortable in, where they can learn new skills and build confidence.”
Some clubs across Queensland already run ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off for Girls programs, however other clubs that are interested in offering the program can contact FQ MiniRoos Development Officer Andy Allan for more information on andya@footballqueensland.com.au
