Football Queensland (FQ) is excited to announce the launch of a new referee website, a comprehensive online resource for referees across Queensland.
The FQ referee website has been developed to assist match officials of all skill levels and qualifications to grow their understanding of the game and progress through refereeing pathways in the state.
The new site will act as a comprehensive learning tool, providing referees with educational resources and online tools to improve their knowledge and develop their match day skills.
“The launch of the referee website will better equip all members of the Queensland football community with the tools to become high quality referees,” FQ General Manager, Competitions & Referees Craig Morris said.
“As football grows across Queensland we’re committed to ensuring referees at grassroots and elite levels are supported as they progress through our referee pathways.
“We are confident that this new online learning resource will help our Queensland referees to develop and refine their skills and to grow their understanding of the game.”
The video analysis tool will allow aspiring referees to test their knowledge and practise their decision-making using interactive videos of real-time match situations in local, national and international games.
Referees will be able to use the new Appointments section to keep track of their own refereeing appointments, as well as the appointments of all referees throughout Queensland.
The website will also highlight all the latest refereeing news, including the From the Third Team blog featuring articles written by referees, for referees, exploring key areas of the Laws of the Game and the challenges of modern refereeing.
