Football Queensland (FQ) would like to extend our condolences to the family and loved ones of Bill (William) Roberts who sadly passed away earlier this week.

Bill worked tirelessly for the game in Queensland, serving on the Board of the Queensland Soccer Federation and in various roles at Eastern Suburbs Football Club.

Bill’s family have also been heavily involved at Eastern Suburbs FC, with his three sons Malcolm, Andrew and Gavin all a part of the club for many years.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held in Caloundra this Friday, 26 July from 1:00pm at the Gregson & Weight Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, Bill’s family have asked that donations be made to the Lung Foundation.
