Young Queenslanders will travel to Coffs Harbour this weekend to compete in this year’s FFA National Youth Championships (NYC) for Boys between Monday, 30 September and Friday, 4 October.
Queensland’s Metro and Country teams for the U13 and U14 age groups will depart on Sunday to prepare for the NYC, where they will compete against teams from other member federations.
Two Brisbane Roar Academy sides will also travel to compete in the tournament.
A total of 36 teams from around Australia will represent their state across the two age groups.
Both the U13 and U14 Metro and Country sides will take on the same teams in their opening matches, against their respective age group.
The Queensland Metro sides will face New South Wales Metro Blue, while the Queensland Country teams will take on South Australia Blue, in their opening matches on Monday.
The tournament kicks off next Monday, 30 September at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, with final matches to take place on the last day of the tournament on Friday, 4 October.
A presentation of trophies and medallions will take place at 1:30pm on the final day of competition.
