Football Queensland (FQ) will visit Wide Bay this Sunday to deliver a number of workshop sessions for clubs in the region.
The workshops will be held at the Fraser Coast Sports Precinct this Sunday, 1 December and consist of tailored sessions for club presidents, administrators, technical directors and referee coordinators to prepare clubs ahead of the 2020 season.
The club workshop will also provide an opportunity for consultation with clubs in the region following the release of the 2020-2022 Strategic Plan for football in Queensland, which outlines a focus on bettering the experience for all involved in the game and providing more support for volunteers at all levels.
FQ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert Cavallucci and President Ben Richardson will be in attendance at the club workshop to present the strategic plan, while a number of FQ staff members will travel to Wide Bay to deliver the sessions focused on club development, technology and systems (Play Football), coaching and refereeing, and women and girls participation.
FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said the visit to Wide Bay would be a fantastic opportunity for FQ to engage with local clubs ahead of the 2020 season.
“FQ’s visit to Wide Bay will equip club volunteers with the knowledge and skills to effectively prepare for the season ahead, while also offering an opportunity for us to consult with our clubs following the release of the strategic plan,” Cavallucci said.
