Eight Queenslanders have been named in a 20-player Westfield Matildas squad for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Tokyo 2020 Asian Qualifiers in Sydney.
Next week’s qualification tournament will bring together four Asian football nations, as China PR, Chinese Taipei and Thailand join Australia in the hopes of qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Mackenzie Arnold, Emily Gielnik, Katrina Gorry, Elise Kellond-Knight, Teagan Micah, Clare Polkinghorne, Hayley Raso and Tameka Yallop feature in the 20-player squad selected for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Tokyo 2022 Asian Qualifiers, kicking off next Monday, 3 February.
