Football Queensland (FQ) has today released the draw for the pre-season phase of the 2020 NPL Queensland Junior Boys competition.

Following the decoupling of the junior NPL Queensland and Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) competitions, the NPL Queensland Junior Boys competition will have a new structure for the 2020 season.

The new competition structure reflects FQ’s focus on providing better development opportunities for young Queensland players and strengthening the quality of clubs in the state, and will form part of a new-look NPL Queensland competition in 2020 featuring a new logo and naming conventions.

The 2020 NPL Queensland Junior Boys competition will kick off on Friday, 7 February and run across three distinct phases throughout the season; the pre-season phase, competition phase and tournament phase.

Fixtures for the competition phase of the NPL Queensland Junior Boys competition will be released following the conclusion of the pre-season phase.

To distinguish each competition under one united brand, NPL Queensland competitions will be referred to as the NPL Queensland Men’s, NPL Queensland Women’s, NPL Queensland Junior Boys and NPL Queensland Junior Girls from 2020.
