Football Queensland (FQ) can today confirm it has sourced and agreed to supply to clubs across Queensland a simple QR code solution to assist clubs with tracking attendances ahead of the 2020 season restart.

With a contactless check-in poster, visitors to clubs across the state can quickly scan themselves in line with COVID Safe Plan requirements for contact tracing.

The club specific poster, available at no cost, features a secure QR code for visitors to scan using a smart phone and saves on administration time and resources.

“We have stressed the need to be agile and responsible over the past few months and this technology will help our clubs be fully committed to community safety as we return to training and matches,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.

“FQ will cover all EVA Check-in costs through to 30 November and will continue to assess the landscape around COVID-19 tracking requirements throughout that time.

“I encourage every affiliated football club and venue to print their poster and to meet all the important measures contained in our Return to Play guidelines.

“All we ask from participants is that you scan the QR code when you arrive at a club or venue and then fill out the online form with a few essential details.

“It’s extremely easy to use and will enable FQ, your club and your zone to support the relevant health authorities in the event that anyone returns a positive test for COVID-19.”

FQ has developed guides for clubs and their members which will be distributed tomorrow to explain how the EVA Check-in process works.
