Key Matches:
Rochedale Rovers v SWQ Thunder
Rochedale Rovers will welcome ladder leaders SWQ Thunder this weekend as they look to extend their winning run to three matches.
After recording a win against Souths in their Round 6 encounter on the weekend, Rochedale followed up with a 3-1 defeat of Holland Park Hawks in their mid-week clash, but they’ll face a whole new challenge when they take on a red-hot Thunder side.
The hosts haven’t lost a match since the start of August, recording two draws prior to their recent run of wins – one of which came against second-placed Logan Lightning.
They’ll welcome an SWQ Thunder outfit on a roll of their own, having secured four straight wins against Sunshine Coast FC, Wolves FC, Mitchelton FC and Southside Eagles.
The ladder leaders have lost just one match in 10 matches this season and have recorded only one draw, against fellow title contenders Logan Lightning in Round 5.
If recent form is anything to go by then Thunder will be a difficult team to stop, but Rochedale are sure to pull out all the stops in an effort to string together a third consecutive win.

Western Pride v Sunshine Coast FC
Following an upset victory over Logan Lightning last round, Western Pride will host Sunshine Coast FC in Round 12 of the FQPL.
Pride handed Logan their first loss of the season thanks to Will Orford’s 93rd minute winner and are sure to bring plenty of confidence into this weekend’s clash.
That win was the third in a row for the Ipswich side, who’ve also recorded victories against Souths and Southside Eagles in recent weeks.
Sunshine Coast FC meanwhile have lost their last two matches, against Logan Lightning and Mitchelton FC, and conceded four goals in each.
Those defeats followed a Round 21 win against Souths United three weeks ago, so the Sunshine Coast team will need to turn their form back around if they are to secure the three points against a high-flying Pride this weekend.

Southside Eagles v Wolves FC
Wolves FC will travel to take on Southside Eagles this weekend, with both sides recording a mixed bag of results leading into their Round 12 encounter.
Wolves’ mid-week 2-1 loss to Mitchelton FC followed two straight wins against Souths United and Holland Park Hawks in recent weeks, scoring 12 goals and conceding just one across the two matches.
The visitors should fancy their chances this weekend coming up against a side in similar form to their recent opponents.
Southside Eagles have recorded two draws and two losses in their last four matches, their most recent result coming in the form of a tough 8-1 loss to SWQ Thunder.
The hosts managed to hold both Rochedale Rovers and Ipswich Knights to a draw in recent weeks though, showing they have the potential to challenge Wolves come this weekend.
