Key Matches:
Rochedale Rovers v Western Pride
Rochedale Rovers and Western Pride are set for a close encounter this weekend in a Round 15 clash that could go down to the wire.
Hosts Rochedale have recorded three wins from their last four outings, with one defeat coming at the hands of ladder leaders SWQ Thunder in Round 12.
The 2019 Grand Final winners last week secured a dominant win over Sunshine Coast FC, with six different goalscorers helping the side to a satisfying 6-0 victory at home.
After claiming the three points against the Sunshine Coast side, Holland Park Hawks and Souths United in recent weeks though, this weekend’s opponents will be a whole new challenge.
Currently sitting in fourth, Western Pride have been in similar form, also recording three wins from their last four matches.
They’ll come into the Round 15 clash off the back of a disappointing loss though, succumbing to a 1-0 defeat against Mitchelton FC in their mid-week clash.
Prior to Tuesday night’s loss, Pride managed three straight wins in which they overcame two of the top three sides in the competition.
Wins against Logan Lightning and Sunshine Coast FC were followed by a shock upset of ladder leaders SWQ Thunder, with a brace to Nathan Yoon, Yuta Hirayama and Jacob Advaney helping Western Pride to an impressive 6-1 victory in their Round 14 battle.
Last time they met in Round 4 this year, Pride secured a 5-2 win against Rochedale Rovers and could make it two from two this weekend if they can maintain their recent form.

Mitchelton FC v Wolves FC
Mitchelton FC will look to extend their winning streak to five matches this weekend as they welcome Wolves FC in Round 15 of the FQPL.
The top two side’s last loss came in Round 22 against ladder leaders SWQ Thunder, but they have since recorded wins against Sunshine Coast FC, Wolves FC, Southside Eagles and Western Pride.
This round they will face a Wolves FC outfit who have recently found some form with three wins from four matches, including recent victories against Holland Park Haws, Southside Eagles and Ipswich Knights.
Wolves’ most recent loss came just two weeks ago against this weekend’s opponents Mitchelton FC, where they fell to a 2-1 defeat.
The Round 15 encounter could be a challenge for the visitors given Mitchelton’s fine form, but they will no doubt have plenty of motivation to go one better and secure the three points this weekend.

Ipswich Knights v SWQ Thunder
Ipswich Knights will have to overcome three straight losses if they are to challenge SWQ Thunder in Round 15 of the FQPL this weekend.
Knights have secured one win in their last four matches, claiming the three points against fellow Ipswich side Western Pride with a 2-1 Round 22 win last month.
Since then, they recorded losses against Wolves FC and Souths United before recording a 3-1 mid-week loss against Logan Lightning on Wednesday night.
Current ladder leaders SWQ Thunder meanwhile fell to their first defeat since Round 1 last weekend at the hands of Western Pride, albeit with one less man for just over a half, with the shock loss bringing an end to Thunder’s five-match winning streak.
Last time these two sides met, SWQ Thunder recorded a 3-2 win in their Round 4 clash in March.
It’s hard to imagine the table toppers conceding another three points this weekend, but time will tell if they can get back in the winners’ circle once more.
