Football Queensland (FQ) has today provided an important update for all Queensland referees following the recent announcement of a three-year extension of its partnership with Kappa, until 2023.
The international sports apparel brand will continue as the governing body’s official apparel partner across the state, providing a number of ongoing benefits for Queensland referees.
“The introduction of the first year referee pack within the cost of registration was hugely successful this year and the teal shirt initiative which was developed in conjunction with Kappa will also continue beyond 2020, helping to reduce the cost of entry for first year referees while also encouraging respect of match officials new to the game,” State Referee Manager Jacqui Hurford said.
“There are also a number of new products on the horizon, with a black Kappa kit soon to become available for all referees. Surveys of Queensland match officials in the past have indicated strong demand for the traditional black referee kit which has previously only been available to match officials in the NPL.
“Football Queensland is working with Kappa on a range of new referee garments with more details on this to be released shortly.”
A pre-order window will be opening soon to allow for delivery of the popular black kit in the new year. Head to https://kappaaustraliareferees.com/ to check out the Kappa shop.
