In line with the restrictions announced this morning by the Queensland Government to stop the spread of the highly contagious UK strain of COVID-19, FQ has today confirmed the suspension of all football-related activity in Greater Brisbane throughout the three-day lockdown commencing at 6pm today, Friday, 8 January 2021.
The temporary suspension will last until midnight on Monday, 11 January 2021 and concerns the football community in the Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan local government areas.
Activities suspended include matches, training sessions, club meetings and any other football-related gatherings.
FQ will continue to monitor developments and thanks the entire Queensland football community for their ongoing support by continuing to follow all government and health authority guidelines as we have done as a sport in the past.
