Football Queensland (FQ) would like to advise all clubs of the transition from EVA Check-In to the Queensland Government’s Check In Qld app for the collection of contact tracing information.
As per Queensland Government requirements, the use of the Check In Qld app for the signing in of patrons will be mandated for all hospitality venues including clubhouses by Saturday, 1 May 2021.
In line with this, all Queensland clubs will be required to stop the use of EVA Check-In QR codes and in their place implement the Check in Qld app for the collection of contact tracing information by the end of May, regardless of whether the club serves food and drink at its premises. Please note FQ will discontinue the use of the EVA Check-In QR code solution from Monday, 31 May 2021.
Clubs can register to use the Check in Qld app via the Queensland Government website. As part of this registration, clubs will be provided with a business set-up guide including QR code poster which should be printed and displayed around the venue.
Register to use the Check in Qld app here.
While outdoor sports are no longer required to follow an Industry Plan following last week’s release of the Queensland Government’s COVID Safe Future Plan, all Queensland clubs must still continue to implement and enforce the COVID Safe measures that have become the ‘new normal’.
These measures include the electronic collection of contact tracing information, the promotion of social distancing and hand hygiene measures and the regular cleaning of frequently touched surfaces and equipment. Any participants who are unwell should also not attend any training sessions, matches or other football activity.
Clubs are reminded that they are still required to follow occupant density requirements (one person per 2 square metres) in any indoor spaces including clubhouses and canteens in line with the COVID Safe Future Plan.
