The Football Queensland Premier League continues this weekend, headlined by a top of the table clash between Brisbane City and Rochedale Rovers in the FQPL 1.
The action kicks off on Friday night with an Ipswich derby between Ipswich Knights and Western Pride at Eric Evans Oval, with local bragging rights and a spot in the top four up for grabs.
Further west, third-placed SWQ Thunder take on sixth-placed Southside Eagles in Toowoomba, with the Thunder looking for their third win in a row.
It’s a big weekend for Mitchelton FC and Wynnum Wolves, who are both in the bottom half of the table on three points and will meet on Saturday night at Teralba Park.
In FQPL 2, Grange Thistle host Virginia United and North Star play Samford Rangers in two highly-anticipated northside derbies.
All eyes will be on the Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon as Magic United host Taringa Rovers, and last-placed Coomera Colts face a tough outing against league-leaders Caboolture FC.

Feature matches:
Brisbane City v Rochedale Rovers
Brisbane City host league-leaders Rochedale Rovers in a Saturday night blockbuster, as both sides jostle for top spot in the FQPL 1.
City and Rovers have dominated the league this season, with Rovers captain Greg Cheshire leading the FQPL 1 Golden Boot race with eight goals and Brisbane City players Kye Bolton and Yuta Hirayama close behind with six goals each.
Both sides are coming off convincing four-goal victories, with City beating Holland Park Hawks 4-0 last Saturday while Rochedale defeated Ipswich Knights 5-1 on the Sunday.
With both sides yet to lose a game in the league this season, expect a hard-fought battle in Newmarket on Saturday night.

Taringa Rovers v Magic United
Second plays fourth on Sunday afternoon as Magic United host Taringa Rovers on the Gold Coast.
After a fast start to the 2021 FQPL 2 season, Taringa Rovers have been pegged back in the past fortnight with consecutive 1-0 defeats against Grange Thistle and Caboolture FC.
Boom striker Sean Karambasis has been kept quiet up front after scoring an incredible 11 goals in Taringa’s opening four games.
It could be a battle of the sharpshooters at Birmingham Road, with Magic United striker Ryan Cole sitting second on the Golden Boot race with seven goals, four behind Karambasis.
Magic United were forced to share the points last weekend against Grange Thistle after letting a 2-1 lead slip in the dying moments of added time.
A win over Taringa this weekend would see Magic move above the Rovers on the FQPL 2 table.
