Registered volunteers from every level of the game across the state will be acknowledged by Football Queensland with the launch of the brand new Good2GiveBack Honour Roll.
“Football Queensland is thrilled to be implementing a new level of recognition for the game’s dedicated volunteers with the introduction of an inaugural Honour Roll featuring the name of every registered volunteer in the state,” FQ President Ben Richardson said.
“We know that the game wouldn’t exist without the efforts of volunteers across Queensland, which is why we are committed to improving our support of all volunteers while celebrating their valuable contributions.”
“Football Queensland’s new Good2GiveBack Honour Roll will be housed at FQ headquarters in Meakin Park, while the names of every registered Queensland volunteer will be displayed as part of a dedicated Honour Wall at the home of football, inspiring the FQ team each day,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“This is an amazing opportunity for Queenslanders to leave a lasting legacy of their contributions to our game, which will be on display for years to come.
“Whilst we have around 5,000 volunteers currently registered, we know that there are many more individuals contributing to our game in a volunteer capacity.
“I’d encourage every volunteer across the state to register through PlayFootball, not only to secure their place on the Honour Roll but also to access direct support and volunteer resources from Football Queensland including insurance cover.
“As we continue to grow the game across Queensland, we look forward to welcoming many more members of our football community to our Good2GiveBack volunteer team.”
All volunteers registered via PlayFootball by Monday, 9 August 2021 will have their name included on the Good2GiveBack Honour Roll.
