The runner-up of the Brisbane Premier League and the Premiers of the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast Premier Leagues have accepted an invitation to play off for a spot in the FQPL 2 next season.

Following tonight’s play-off draw, Gold Coast Premiers Surfers Paradise Apollo will host Sunshine Coast Premiers Nambour-Yandina United in the Play-Off Qualifier.

The winner of the Surfers Paradise and Nambour-Yandina clash will then meet Brisbane-based Bayside United in the Play-Off Final.

FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said the implementation of the connected football pyramid is an “important milestone” for the game in Queensland.

“It’s an environment where aspirational clubs, players, coaches and referees can find the right place in the football ecosystem,” said Cavallucci.
