As wet weather continues to affect parts of the state, more than 50% of clubs in each geographical region have confirmed with Football Queensland that they would be unable to host games this weekend, with the majority of clubs and venues in the impacted regions confirming that their grounds would not be playable.
Football Queensland has consequently made the decision to postpone a number of FQ administered competitions across the state from 12-15 May 2022 (inclusive) due to the significant amount of rainfall being experienced.
FQ has also consulted with several of the local councils across Queensland who are aware of the deluge currently affecting many playing surfaces.
The decision to postpone competitions in the impacted regions has been made in the interests of resourcing, preparation, planning and safety and to ensure clubs, players, referees, team officials and parents have requisite notice of their weekend commitments.
Training sessions may continue in the impacted regions, only if it is safe to do so and permitted by the local government or council authority. For more information about postponed competitions in specific regions, refer to the table below.
